Privacy Policy for MC Script Companion

Cunning Creek Studios provides MC Script Companion, a medicinal cannabis script tracking and reminder app for Android. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, why that information is used, and the choices available to users.

Information we collect and use

Information stored on your device

MC Script Companion stores the following information locally on your device in app storage so the app can function:

  • Profile names
  • Script setup details
  • Plan details
  • Event history
  • Supplier notes and contact details
  • App preferences
  • Local notification schedule metadata
  • Backup and restore metadata you choose to create in the app

This information is used to calculate eligibility, generate reminders, display history and calendar views, and support backup and restore flows.

Subscription and purchase information

MC Script Companion offers optional premium features through in-app purchases. To manage and validate those purchases, the app uses RevenueCat.

Through RevenueCat, the app processes:

  • Purchase History, including subscription and entitlement status, so premium access can be activated, restored, and managed
  • Anonymous App User IDs and device-related identifiers used by RevenueCat and the app stores to recognise the purchase state of the app installation and help prevent fraud

MC Script Companion does not collect your full payment card number directly. Payments are processed by Google Play and the app's purchase management provider.

Notifications

If you grant notification permission, the app schedules local reminder notifications on your device. Depending on your selected reminder privacy settings, notifications can include profile name, plan name, route-aware reminder wording, and eligibility timing.

Third-party service providers

MC Script Companion uses the following service providers to operate key app features:

  • Google Play, to process in-app purchases
  • RevenueCat, to validate purchases, manage subscriptions, restore access, and maintain premium entitlement state
  • Platform and framework components needed to run the app, including local storage and local notifications

These providers may process limited information as needed to deliver their services on our behalf or as independent service providers under their own terms.

What we do not use your data for

MC Script Companion:

  • does not require account creation, login, or sign up in the current app build
  • does not provide a public social feature
  • is not designed to sell your personal or sensitive data
  • is not designed to transmit your profile, script, plan, or event history to Cunning Creek Studios except where needed for purchase validation through the services described above

Data retention and deletion

Profile, script, plan, supplier, preference, and event data remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app, subject to normal device and operating system behaviour.

Purchase History and related entitlement records handled through RevenueCat are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to operate subscriptions, handle restores, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent fraud.

You can delete data in the following ways:

  • Delete a profile to remove that profile and its attached plans, events, and history
  • Delete a script to remove the dependent plans and related history attached to that script
  • Uninstall the app to remove local app data from the device, subject to normal operating system behaviour

Security

MC Script Companion is designed to keep your profile, plan, and event data on your device and to use app storage protections available on the platform. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Users should also protect access to their own device with the security features they choose to enable.

MC Script Companion is a tracking and reminder tool only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment guidance, prescribing advice, emergency support, or pharmacy advice.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect app changes, legal requirements, or operational updates. The latest version will be the version made available for MC Script Companion.
